Relations with local farmers continued
Consultations between project partners and local stakeholders continued in a face-to-face meeting.
Two operating water retention works in Lankóc Forest were visited together with local farmers and stakeholders on 22 September. Discussion of questions arised and getting to know different points of view were possible during the field visit. As a result of an extremely long drought period, even Dombó canal was dried up, which allowed us to move between water retention works on the different sides of the canal easily.
The program continued in Gyékényes with a dinner and forum, during which the expected impacts of different water retention scenarios and ideas related to the future of the Lankóc Forest were talked over.
The meeting ended with an informal conversation, and the processing and evaluation of the forum's results will be available in a forthcoming research report.
