Danube-Drava National Park Directorate has a high number of biotic records from its operational area. Managing habitats in a smaller area requires targeted preceding monitoring surveys serving as references to reveal and evaluate any changes in the habitat and thus the effects of the management activities.

To this end, before startig habitat managing activities alog river Drava, the vegetation, populations of amphibians, birds and butterflies have been assessed in Lankóc forest together with fishes in the river.
Comparing the present situation with that after the management activities realized, the volume of positive impact can be detected.
