Monintoring studies are underway in the Lankóc Forest

Studies will be carried out in 2021 to monitor the effects of habitat reconstructions after the baseline surveys.

Baseline monitoring studies were completed in 2020. Its results are considered as starting point, involving biotic records of different groups of organisms. The comparision of the results in the current and previous years reveal the level of improvements in environmental conditions.

This year, when the water retention structures of the Lankóc Forest are already in operation, the survey of each group started at the end of spring. At the beginning of May, a survey of aquatic insects was carried out in the Dombó canal, which is followed by an inspection of bat boxes and survey of butterflies.
