WiseDrava Day at the University of Public Service
On the 31st of March, at the University of Public Service, we held a workshop on the future of the Drava river and its side-branches
At the workshop related to the International Water Governance and Water Diplomacy course of the Faculty of Water Sciences at the University of Public Service, we reviewed the results of the riverbed morphology measurments, the challanges of landscape- and river maintenance, the opportunities given by the status of biosphere reserve and the activity of DDVIZIG on the Drava.
After the introduction presentations, professional debate was held about the ecological services of the Drava, the various development options in the Drava basin and further research opportunities. Presenters of the event were Sándor Baranya (BME), Gábor Ungvári (BCE-REKK), Tamás Gruber (WWF) and Alajos Burián (DDVIZIG).
